When we talk about Oracle Fusion it could either mean Oracle Fusion Applications or Oracle Fusion Technology Platform. Oracle presents Fusion Application as the next generation application which will integrate Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards etc based on Oracle Fusion Technology Platform. The Oracle Fusion technology platform includes components like Application Server, SOA, Web Services, J2EE, XML, BPEL, ADF, Identity Management, Portals, Grid and SSO which will be the building blocks of Oracle Fusion Applications.
The business decision to adopt Oracle Fusion Application over it’s traditional e-Business suite will be based on the challenge of integrating solutions from multiple vendors in a large complex and environment. The technology side of Oracle Fusion is vastly complicated and it’s is not going to be easy to make the transition from a technology perspective.
